I am a Quaker by convincement. I read about George Fox, William Penn and Elizabeth Fry when I was about 8 or 9 years old. What I read were their biographies printed in a children's encyclopedia. I never forgot about Quakers from then on but only met live Quakers, when I was living in England completing my professional training as an engineer. It was then that I started to attend Quaker Meeting. From my very first Quaker Meeting I knew that this was the spirtual tradition and practice for me. Subbsequently I added the practices of yoga and Tibetan Buddhism to my spiritual repetoire. I am now in my 70th year.
I feel the same as Julie I would like to know which contemplative tradition you follow.

Hi Ulrich
Happy to see you on the website :)
Are you from any particular contemplative tradition?
Not that it is important to be from one, It is also good to be finding your own way on a spiritual journey.
Hope all is well with you in Welkom?
